FM Terminals or MobaXterm?
Both open RDP, SSH, SFTP and VNC in tabs. The difference is the focus: MobaXterm is a complete toolbox for the terminal; FM Terminals organizes the connections of many clients and environments, with a password vault and teamwork.
Free for 30 days with everything unlocked · Windows 10 and 11
Choose FM Terminals if…
- you serve several clients and need to keep Production, Staging and Development apart;
- your team needs the same connections, each person with their own user and their own passwords;
- you also work with SQL Server (queries, data editing, table design) in the same program;
- you want to reach internal servers through an SSH jump host without building tunnels by hand;
- you want the program and its help in your language: 13 complete translations (including Brazilian and European Portuguese);
- you prefer automatic updates through the Microsoft Store and a low yearly subscription.
MobaXterm may be better if…
- you need an X11 server to open graphical Linux applications;
- you rely on the built-in Unix tools (bash, grep, etc. on Windows) or serial (COM) sessions;
- you want a single portable .exe to carry on a USB stick;
- you work alone and organization by client/environment is not a priority.

Migrating from MobaXterm
There is no direct import of MobaXterm sessions yet. To get started quickly: export your server list to a spreadsheet (name, address, protocol, user) and use Tools → Import → Spreadsheet; or create a client with the default login and paste the servers — they all inherit the login.
